Hello fearless leaders. Could someone please forward this to the cast?
As promised I have uploaded rehearsal tracks to assist with learning your voice parts.
They can be found here:
For the moment don't lean too heavily on All The Livelong Day and Something to Point to for the solo lines. I recorded them based on the score and as Amy has re-assigned a lot of those lines so I need to go through the book with the breakdown of who sings what and re-work those a bit.
In the folder for each song you'll find mp3 files that are marked either "lead" for the main soloist in the song, i.e. Frank in "Brother Trucker" or "Delores" in "It's an Art" and the ensemble parts marked as W!, W2, W3, M1, M2, and M3. In each file the accompaniment and vocal parts for the other ensemble members panned to the left speaker/earphone, your part is on the right side played on a different sound to distinguish it from the rest.
If you have difficulty accessing the tracks or if it would just be more convenient to do so, I am happy to burn your set of files to a CD, just let me know.
One final thing, I had asked that everyone at the first meeting to get in touch with me regarding setting up a time to work on your individual solos before we start vocal rehearsals for the ensemble numbers as noted on the schedule you should all have received. So far I have heard from only two people. I realize several people were not able to make it to the meeting on the 10th, so I thought I should send a brief reminder and also let those know who weren't there.
The one-on-ones to work on your solos are being done at my house, rather than having to have someone come down and open up the Playhouse for brief rehearsals that only involve two people. I live in Covedale, about 5 minutes from the Glenmore Playhouse.
Please feel free to hit me up via email, alindsey@gmail.com, or call/text me at 513-582-7512.
Hope you are all well!
Allen
